the blue sky is blue like blue bubble gum
but it prays to Allah, it prays to Allah
and like the flavour of blue sky and the bubble gum won’t last
we’ve got to thank Allah before our chances go fast
i don’t wanna be a grown up like the grown ups i have seen
cause the grown ups i have seen don’t seem to have much fun
they don’t get down on the floor enough to pray or play with toys
when i’m a grown up i won’t wanna be one
now if i hit back at the time of the Prophet
i know that he would be different i just know he’d find the time
and i would make him something special like some paper planes or something
i could race those planes with him or get a camel back ride
the blue sky is blue like blue bubble gum
but it prays to Allah, it prays to Allah
and like the flavour of blue sky and the bubble gum won’t last
we’ve got to thank Allah before our chances go fast
i’d like to write a promise, i want you to make it too
that if i misbehave a little like i sometimes do
you won’t get really mad and you’ll be patient like the Prophet
i really like my promise, how about you
’cause the blue sky is blue like blue bubble gum
but it prays to Allah, it prays to Allah
and like the flavour of blue sky and the bubble gum won’t last
we’ve got to thank Allah before our chances go fast
to be a mommy or a daddy must be really really hard
so let’s take a break together ’cause i know how much you try
let’s have a dish of apple sauce and tumble in the yard
and we can play and we can pray along with the blue sky
the blue sky is blue like blue bubble gum
but it prays to Allah, it prays to Allah
and like the flavour of blue sky and the bubble gum won’t last
we’ve got to thank Allah before our chances go fast
we’ve got to thank Allah before our chances go fast

what?!
it says mello yello’s been around for at least twenty years?
i’ve never heard of it before i saw it on tuesday … :S

after taking a short survey of some people
out of whom only two responded…
i have determined that 50% of the population is fairly unaware of coca-cola’s new drink, mello yello
and so i wonder, where the hay is their marketing?
i have seen no ads … at all
do they expect sales to skyrocket because we see it in the store? or the last button in the vending machine? (replacing dasani mineral water, f00s)
most people don’t even know what “mellow” means and that drink seems more green than it seems yellow …
where’s the marketing? where’s the marketing?
it seems to be pitted against pepsi’s mountain dew (a mountain dew wannabe, it seems)
but mountain dew has effective marketing aimed at teens (particulary the white snowboarding type) as is seen through their ads
but i haven’t seen any mello yello ads … none
what’s going on here?
it just popped up in the vending machine one day, and i saw some other kids trying it out so i did it, too
do they expect it to spread via word-of-mouth?
(maybe i’m helping a capitalistic corporation around by writing about this and “surveying” my entire icq list …)
who knows, who knows, who knows
i shall check out the coke web site for more details…
because this is making me go bananas
which are also mellow and yellow …
