or places to direct them, but no ideas<\/p>\n
no muse — no inspiration
\nlost it<\/p>\n
can’t find it<\/p>\n
i had ideas
\ni had designs
\ni had words
\ni had pics<\/p>\n
i dunno where they are now<\/p>\n
you see the thing on top, up there, that’s something i haven’t done in a long time<\/p>\n
what is it?
\nwhat is it called?<\/p>\n
i dunno<\/p>\n
it’s just something i do<\/p>\n
some pages in my agenda and notes are full of it<\/p>\n
crossing, hatched lines<\/p>\n
it’s a release<\/p>\n
confusion
\nanxiety
\nfear
\nexcitement
\nhappiness
\nanger
\nsadness<\/p>\n
the tone of the lines never changes
\nit doesn’t become rougher or smoother<\/p>\n
but it can oddly enough express all that
\nand more<\/p>\n
and yet to others it would represent nothing<\/p>\n
they’re lines<\/p>\n
it’s abstract<\/p>\n
i wouldn’t call it art — not in that sense<\/p>\n
it’s stuff
